Vizio 37 LCD HDTV VX37L is the newer cousin of the previous L37. Has much changed? Not a whole lot, but that’s because the L37 was such a quality unit to start with. This article will compare the VX37L with another popular model of its time, the Sharp Aquos LC-C3742U.
Consumers often compare several models and have a hard time deciding which to buy, so I’m going to make things easier for you if you are stuck between the Sharp and the Vizio 37″ TV’s.
Vizio 37″ LCD HDTV VX37L
The features have been revamped in this model compared with the L37. It is more compact as well with a white back and sides plus a more rounded profile. The picture quality is excellent given the low price tag. Vizio are known for having great inbuilt sound and the VX37L is no exception.
I loved the simple menu system of the Vizio, it is perfectly suited to even the most techno challenged viewers. The picture in picture function is always a stand out on Vizio HDTV sets. It lets you view two channels or inputs at the same time: a feature that is lacking in many top brand models let alone TV’s of this price.
Sharp Aquos LC-C3742U
The images from this HDTV are very good but there are just too many down sides for me to recommend it over the Vizio. For one you can’t adjust the screen size for HD signals and this will annoy some viewers. You will also find that you’ll need your own surround system as the inbuilt one doesn’t cut it.
It is hard to beat the VX37L thanks to its excellent feature set, good looks and very reasonable price tag. Great sound and the Picture in Picture feature make the Vizio really stand out above the crowd.
While the Sharp Aquos LC-C3742U is also impressive, you just can’t look past the Vizio 37 LCD HDTV VX37L in both value for money and features.
