Vizio Plasma TV JV50P Review

Vizio’s 52 inch LCD TV could be yours!

Vizio plasma TV sets are low on price but high on quality. The latest release from Vizio in their 50″ plasma line up is the JV50P.

This is a 720p plasma but before you write it off for not being full HDTV with 1080p, keep in mind that in almost all situations you are not going to notice an ounce of difference between the two. In fact, if you didn’t read the specs of the JV50P you would certainly think it is a full high definition television.

With digital 5.1 surround sound, this is an all in one solution for your home theater. The Vizio Plasma TV really sets a benchmark for affordable plasma televisions. Once the domain of the wealthy, you can now buy plasma televisions for around the same price as a similar sized LCD model - sometimes even less. Plasma TV’s are known for their crisper, brighter images and as such are becoming a more popular choice as the price continues to decrease.

The panel on the JV50P has been supplied by LG and as such you can compare the quality to TV’s with similar panels - generally those in the mid price range. But the Vizio stands out from its competitors in this class thanks to the wealth of features it contains. A fantastic bonus is the wireless audio system which simple does not come with many other models at this price point.

The first 50″ plasma TV to come with build in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound is the JV50P. The system sounds wonderful and most people will be happy to continue using it out of the box rather than spend more on sound equipment.

Whilst the Vizio Plasma TV JV50P is certainly affordable in comparison to other similar plasmas, it may still be out of reach for some who consider it too much to spend on a TV.

Vizio Plasma televisions are worth over $1000 but you can claim a FREE 52″ LCD TV from Vizio!

Vizio Plasma Televisions - How Do They Rate?

Need a new TV? How about a Vizio LCD on us?

Vizio Plasma televisions are affordable options if you are on a budget. But just because they are cheap in comparison to the competition, it doesn’t mean they aren’t of good quality.

I’ve searched the internet for reviews of 50″ Vizio televisions and have had a hard time finding many negative comments. Most customers stated that the value for money is extraordinary. One particular reviewer at Amazon.com said “This is one of if not the first 50″ Plasma TV to come with built in Dolby 5.1 channel surround sound. The picture is amazing, set up is a breeze.”

You will be pleased to hear that setting up your Vizio plasma television is so easy, as it seems some manufacturers forget that we are not all rocket scientists! Thankfully Vizio has manufactureed their TV’s to be used by the ‘average Joe’.
